Hi, I'm Arran.

Stillpoint started with a phone call. A friend had just left his job and was trying to work out what came next. He was worried. He didn't know what would suit him, or where to start. I spent the whole call energised: talking through options, spotting his strengths, mapping ways he could use them.

Then I hung up, and felt the opposite. My own next chapter was coming, leaving New Zealand and starting again, and I had none of that clarity for myself. All those ideas for him, yet clueless about me.

On a long walk later that day, it clicked. The passion I had for his change was the answer to mine: helping people figure out what they want, and then work towards it, is the work I'm built for. Stillpoint is that realisation, turned into a practice.

By background I'm a psychology practitioner, with a master's in work psychology and years spent supporting people through some of the biggest changes a life can hold. I also know change from the inside: I've moved my life from England to Hawaii to New Zealand, and back again.

Common questions.

Is this therapy?
No, and the difference matters. Therapy focuses on healing and mental health treatment. Stillpoint is structured, forward-looking support for navigating a specific change: making sense of it, deciding what to do, and acting on it. If what you're carrying needs therapeutic care, we'll say so honestly and help you find the right support.
My situation feels too small or too messy. Does it count?
If something is changing and you feel stuck in it, it counts. People bring everything from "I think I want a different career but I'm not sure" to "my whole life just got rearranged." There's no minimum size of change. The free call exists to work that out, together.
How many sessions will I need?
There's no fixed programme and no pressure to keep coming. Some people get what they need from a single session. Others prefer to work through their change over several, which is what the three-session bundle is for. You stay in control throughout.
How do the video calls work?
Everything is remote. Once you book, you'll get a video call link. All you need is a quiet spot and a decent connection. Stillpoint works with clients across time zones, and the booking calendar always shows session times in your own local time.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life changes. That's rather the point. You can reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before a session at no cost, as many times as you need.
